Dinner Conversation

Tonight's dinner was divine, one of my all time favorites from childhood. Chef Jr requested ham for New Year's. We had appetizers instead, so it was tonight's dinner. A gingersnap bourbon crust was applied and I made Au Gratin potatoes from scratch.

The conversation at the table went something like this:

Me: Chef, are you happy with dinner. (he'd requested the ham)
Chef: I'm a happy hamper.
Ed: A happy hamper? What's a hamper?
Chef: Its a camper made of ham!
Ed: I wouldn't want to sleep in that. Someone would eat me while I was sleeping.
Me: You'd get eaten by bears.

It's never boring with this kid!

Wal Mart Your Zone $500.00 Gift Card Contest!

For several months now, I have participated in WalMart 's Beyond Eleven Moms, a collective of bloggers who partner with WalMart to give feedback on products already in stores and ideas about products that the company can offer in their stores. Last month, I was approached to help test out a new product line in the stores. Many retailers offer room decor for youngsters and college students, but affordable furniture, bedding and decor for teens was hard to find. Enter Your Zone ! Webmaster Alex speaks Anonymously

**Please note, this post was written in 2008, over 7 years ago.  This is not current, but remains to detail the DISboards bannings.** The other day, I wrote of my banning from the Disboards, a site I belonged to for six years. I was banned for participating in another site, as were approximately 35 others. The list will be posted further in this entry. If you skip this post because it doesn't mean anything except to the participants, I don't mind. This is mainly out there for the hundreds (over 7,500 now!**) of Google searches that have been directed to my blog since the bannings. Lord knows, anytime anyone asks a question on the Disboards, it'll be poofed faster than you can say "delete." Curiously, I received an anonymous comment that rambled on and on.
