Having Some Fun With the Craig's List Scammers

This afternoon, an email arrived "Is your item still for sale?" The hinky-meter was going off, but I responded that it was. This was the email I got back:


Definitely a scammer. As I'm not in the mood to deal with scammers, this is what I fired back:


Ed likes the fact that I'm being extremely snarky to the scammer.

So much for a sale, but it feels good to cut down a guy trying to swindle people.

Only way you could make such a thing sweeter is if you were on the phone with them and played their game to a point. Then you confront them for the scam they are pulling and see how long it is before they hang up. BUSTED!!!!!!!! I bet you don't get a reply back on the email?

Wal Mart Your Zone $500.00 Gift Card Contest!

For several months now, I have participated in WalMart 's Beyond Eleven Moms, a collective of bloggers who partner with WalMart to give feedback on products already in stores and ideas about products that the company can offer in their stores. Last month, I was approached to help test out a new product line in the stores. Many retailers offer room decor for youngsters and college students, but affordable furniture, bedding and decor for teens was hard to find. Enter Your Zone ! We were sent a $500.00 WalMart gift card and given a mission: redo a bedroom whatever way you like within that amount for your teen. Webmaster Alex speaks Anonymously

**Please note, this post was written in 2008, over 7 years ago.  This is not current, but remains to detail the DISboards bannings.** The other day, I wrote of my banning from the Disboards, a site I belonged to for six years. I was banned for participating in another site, as were approximately 35 others. The list will be posted further in this entry. If you skip this post because it doesn't mean anything except to the participants, I don't mind. This is mainly out there for the hundreds (over 7,500 now!**) of Google searches that have been directed to my blog since the bannings. Lord knows, anytime anyone asks a question on the Disboards, it'll be poofed faster than you can say "delete." Curiously, I received an anonymous comment that rambled on and on.
