Next Food Network Star, Season 8: Final Three

Well, my earlier prediction was way off base, in that neither of the people are still in the race. At that time, it looked like those two had everything that Food Network would want.

That changed, and fast. Stacey, while being very polished, came off very rehearsed and reserved. Chad made some missteps for a couple of weeks and ultimately, his product pitch killed his chances. On the other hand, the three that remain continued to grow and improve, taking the criticism to heart.

So, right now, there are pilots from Rodney, Damaris, and Russell. I'd be happy with any of the three. If I have to choose one, I think Russell's would be my first pick.

We'll find out next Sunday.

Wal Mart Your Zone $500.00 Gift Card Contest!

For several months now, I have participated in WalMart 's Beyond Eleven Moms, a collective of bloggers who partner with WalMart to give feedback on products already in stores and ideas about products that the company can offer in their stores. Last month, I was approached to help test out a new product line in the stores. Webmaster Alex speaks Anonymously

**Please note, this post was written in 2008, over 7 years ago.  This is not current, but remains to detail the DISboards bannings.** The other day, I wrote of my banning from the Disboards, a site I belonged to for six years. I was banned for participating in another site, as were approximately 35 others. The list will be posted further in this entry. If you skip this post because it doesn't mean anything except to the participants, I don't mind. This is mainly out there for the hundreds (over 7,500 now!**) of Google searches that have been directed to my blog since the bannings. Lord knows, anytime anyone asks a question on the Disboards, it'll be poofed faster than you can say "delete." Curiously, I received an anonymous comment that rambled on and on.
