Only In Florida

As I left work today, I noticed this minivan ahead of me that had the sliding door behind the driver's door open. It made me wonder how the person could not know it was open or tolerate how unbelievably loud that sound of the air buffeting against the door must be. Let's just say having windows open a crack in a car that's going 50 miles an hour (such as the road we were traveling) would drive me absolutely nuts. That would have been unbearable.

Then I pulled closer-and noticed CHAIN LINK FENCE affixed to the back of the driver's seat that went to the other side of the opening where the door normally would be closed, all the better to keep the stuff that was inevitably flying around the inside of this guy's van from flying out.



The things people come up with just make me shake my head some days!

Wal Mart Your Zone $500.00 Gift Card Contest!

For several months now, I have participated in WalMart 's Beyond Eleven Moms, a collective of bloggers who partner with WalMart to give feedback on products already in stores and ideas about products that the company can offer in their stores. Last month, I was approached to help test out a new product line in the stores. Many retailers offer room decor for youngsters and college students, but affordable furniture, bedding and decor for teens was hard to find. Enter Your Zone ! Webmaster Alex speaks Anonymously

**Please note, this post was written in 2008, over 7 years ago.  This is not current, but remains to detail the DISboards bannings.** The other day, I wrote of my banning from the Disboards, a site I belonged to for six years. I was banned for participating in another site, as were approximately 35 others. The list will be posted further in this entry. If you skip this post because it doesn't mean anything except to the participants, I don't mind. This is mainly out there for the hundreds (over 7,500 now!**) of Google searches that have been directed to my blog since the bannings. Lord knows, anytime anyone asks a question on the Disboards, it'll be poofed faster than you can say "delete." Curiously, I received an anonymous comment that rambled on and on.
