An Abundance of Apples

I got the Macbook that had coffee splashed on it repaired. That means we have one MacBook that is Ed's, two that are mine and we each have a desktop. The house is full of Apples.

We love it.

Last week, Chef came into my room and was chatting with me as I did my usual organization of my desktop. With Mac, you just drag and drop into folders and he'd never seen that done before. As all my needed software is on the newly repaired machine, I suspect the the kids will have limited access to the newer MacBook, so that they can learn both platforms.

It is kind of amusing that just over three years ago, I wanted my first one sooooo badly, and here we are, a Mac-centric home.

Wal Mart Your Zone $500.00 Gift Card Contest!

For several months now, I have participated in WalMart 's Beyond Eleven Moms, a collective of bloggers who partner with WalMart to give feedback on products already in stores and ideas about products that the company can offer in their stores. Last month, I was approached to help test out a new product line in the stores. Many retailers offer room decor for youngsters and college students, but affordable furniture, bedding and decor for teens was hard to find. Enter Your Zone ! We were sent a $500.00 WalMart gift card and given a mission: redo a bedroom whatever way you like within that amount for your teen. Webmaster Alex speaks Anonymously

**Please note, this post was written in 2008, over 7 years ago.  This is not current, but remains to detail the DISboards bannings.** The other day, I wrote of my banning from the Disboards, a site I belonged to for six years. I was banned for participating in another site, as were approximately 35 others. The list will be posted further in this entry. If you skip this post because it doesn't mean anything except to the participants, I don't mind. This is mainly out there for the hundreds (over 7,500 now!**) of Google searches that have been directed to my blog since the bannings. Lord knows, anytime anyone asks a question on the Disboards, it'll be poofed faster than you can say "delete." Curiously, I received an anonymous comment that rambled on and on.
