I would love to have the time to talk to you, but life gets so hectic sometimes.
Especially when you have two teens, a husband, a career, and doctoral studies to attempt to keep up with!
Just think of this as a phone call in cyberspace. Keep up your end of the conversation and comment, please!
Doctor Who Regeneration
They totally sold Matt Smith short. I feel like Steven Moffatt put all his effort into the 50th Anniversary show and snoozed through writing this episode.
Looking forward to Peter Capaldi in the role, but feel he was robbed of a proper send off.
Another 1am entry. This is getting so freakin old. I would love nothing more than to have a normal health issue with normal treatment and no complications. However, this is me we're talking about, so things will NEVER be that way.
To whit: I had my follow up with Dr. J yesterday morning to have the Unna boot reapplied after he looked at the progress with my wounds. Unfortunately, he did not get to see them immediately after the first boot was taken off-they were dry and looked good. The six days in the boot made them noticeably shallower. Dr. K's nurse dressed the wounds in Xeroform, a moist dressing I'd been using. It made the wounds look 'soupy', as Dr. J so aptly described it.
Fortunately, he listened to my description of what my ankle looked like upon removal of the boot. We discussed the visit with Dr. K and decided to go with another Unna Boot, with a change in two weeks. It was also decided that I'd be given dressings to reapply them myself (with s…
I thought I was done with the DISboards stuff, really I did.
However, the hypocricy and racism displayed by Webmaster Pete and others on a memorial show is deplorable. Sadly, all it does is show that the man who died is the only one who has some scruples among the staff.
I'm awaiting some You Tube links to the entire unedited podcast and then an edited link to just the racism portion. In the meantime, I'm posting the transcript of the 'tribute' to Bob. These were transcribed by a former DISer for me. Thanks.
I know I've posted pictures of the meals I've prepared on the grill, but until a friend mentioned purchasing a Weber Spirit grill the other day, I hadn't realized that I never did an in-depth review of my grill.
As our anniversary present to each other in August, 2010, Ed and I both agreed that we wanted a good grill. We'd purchased a gas grill when we built our house in Maryland, and it gave us a good 8 or 9 years until it crapped out. So, the desire for one set in.\
I had a budget in mind, no more than $500. I didn't want to cheap out this time, nor did Ed. We visited the various retailers and weren't wowed by what we saw. Ed mentioned going to the Outdoor store on the north end of town. They didn't have grills, but the salesperson told us we should check out Grills Plus More on the other side of town.
We're glad he did.
When we walked in the door, the smell of 'que hung in the air and told us we'd come to the right place. In shor…
